Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The inside of the box has its original lids with ebony stringing to the main part and boxwood stringing round the edge. The lids have their original ivory knobs, the front of the box has the original ivory diamond shape escution.
A couple of very minor bits of missing stringing that could be repaired if required otherwise this box is pretty good condition.
SIZE; 10" long by 6" wide by 7" high
