This Georgian triple spill vase from the Flight and Barr Worcester porcelain period around 1800 consists of three conjoined cylindrical receptacles with gently flared, gilt-edged rims, standing on an integral shaped base over a red fabric backdrop. The white porcelain body displays bands of 'Barr's Orange' ground around the upper sections decorated with gilded scrolling foliage and floral ornament, alongside a delicate gilt laurel wreath band to the lower section and fine gilt bands separating the various decorative areas. The base reveals an incised 'B' mark, and the piece shows excellent overall condition with intact glaze and gilding. Measuring a compact size suitable for display, this decorative vessel sits easily upon a mantelpiece in a modern home to hold dried flowers or stand as an ornament.

A spill vase is a specialized vessel designed to hold paper spills or thin wooden splints used for transferring flames from a fireplace to light candles or pipes.

Pieces from this period were crafted from soft-paste porcelain or hybrid bone bodies, decorated with hand-applied enamel colours and mercury gilding.

Authentic examples typically feature impressed factory marks such as a crown or letter, crisp neoclassical gilded patterns, and fine translucency.

Display the vessel on a mantelpiece, sideboard top, or bookshelf as a decorative focal point, styled individually or paired with small dried botanicals.

Dust gently using a soft dry brush or microfibre cloth, avoiding water immersion and chemical abrasives that can degrade the gilded surface.
