Regency style, spanning the early 19th century, draws heavily from classical Greco-Roman motifs, featuring clean structural lines, rich timber veneers, and restrained brass inlay or ormolu mounts.

These clocks typically utilise solid mahogany or mahogany-veneered carcases with brass bezels, painted convex dials, and intricate mechanical brass movements driven by spring-powered fusee mechanisms.

Authenticity is assessed through the patination of the wood, the hand-painted execution of the dial, matching serial numbers on the movement and case, and traditional hand-cut brass gears within the fusee movement.

An antique bracket clock serves as a focal point when placed on a prominent mantelpiece, sideboard, or study desk, adding historical gravitas and warmth to both traditional and modern minimalist schemes.

Keep mechanical clocks away from direct sunlight, extreme temperature fluctuations, and moisture. Professional servicing every three to five years by a qualified horologist is essential to maintain the movement.
