Hi
I have for sale an 1880s double fusee bracket clock in stunning condition for the age and striking the hours on a gong with a nice early movement fully serviced in perfect working order with all the original keys.
The Case
The case is in beautiful mahogany and stands 16” high x 9” wide with a depth of 6.5” it is in very good original condition very shiny has had a lot of wax over the years very well looked after, with a thick convex glass front wooden fretted sides with the red silk.
The clock stands on brass ball feet.
The Dial
The dial is in good original condition silvered steel with Roman numerals which is 5 inches wide and still retains the ultra-fine moon hands.
The Movement
The movement is an eight-day double fusee time and strike which strikes the hours on a large tuned gong to the rear, the movement has been serviced two months ago so keeping good time over eight days via the original pendulum.
Overall a very nice clock quite rare in this original condition that looks great on display keeping good time.
The photos do not do justice to this lovely old clock.
As with all my clocks, this one is sold with a ‘back-to-base’ 3-month guarantee. I also offer future clock servicing, which I carry out personally at a heavily discounted rate.
Collection welcome delivery or postage is possible.
I will post worldwide.
