We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Emile Galle was a leading figure in the Art Nouveau movement, producing distinct multi-layered cameo glass vessels primarily in Nancy, France, from the late 19th century until his death in 1904, with production continuing under his workshop through the 1930s.

Cameo glass is crafted by fusing multiple layers of differently coloured glass together and then using acid-etching and wheel-carving techniques to wear away the outer layers, revealing contrasting designs in relief.

Authentic pieces typically feature acid-etched or wheel-carved signatures integrated into the design of the motif itself, alongside precise multi-layered coloration and naturalistic botanical themes characteristic of the Nancy school.

Place the vessel on a simple mantelpiece, sideboard top, or enclosed display cabinet where natural light can pass through the translucent layers to highlight the intricate carved botanical details.

Clean the glass gently by hand using lukewarm water and a mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals, abrasive scrubbers, or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to protect the fragile surface.
