Mid-century clock design typically features clean lines, geometric chapter rings, and a combination of polished metals with vibrant enamel or synthetic finishes, reflecting the modernist aesthetics of the 1950s and 1960s.

These timepieces frequently utilised gold plating, solid brass cases, and vitreous enamel or lacquered dials, often paired with high-grade mechanical or early electronic movements manufactured in Switzerland.

Authentic pieces generally feature clear maker signatures on the dial or movement, precise Swiss manufacturing hallmarks, and high-quality materials such as heavy brass housings and carefully applied enamel work.

This type of decorative object works well placed on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or side table where its metallic finish and rich colour can serve as a sophisticated focal point.

Clean the exterior gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, avoiding harsh chemical polishes that can damage gold plating or enamel, and have the mechanical movement serviced periodically by a professional horologist.
