Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian clocks, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, often feature lighter woods, delicate stringing, and refined neoclassical or Sheraton revival motifs compared to the heavier Victorian styles.

These clocks typically feature a mahogany, satinwood, or walnut veneer case built over a solid wood carcase, adorned with intricate boxwood inlay or marquetry shells, and fitted with brass bezels and mechanical spring-driven movements.

Authenticity is indicated by period-appropriate hand-painted enamel or metal dials, original brass winding arbors, traditional hand-cut marquetry rather than modern laser cutting, and age-appropriate patination on the timber and movement.

Place the clock as a focal point on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or console table, allowing its warm timber tones and contrasting inlay to complement both contemporary minimalist and traditional spaces.

Keep the clock away from direct sunlight, extreme temperature fluctuations, and moisture. Ensure the mechanical movement is professionally serviced every three to five years to maintain accurate timekeeping.
