Set of 8 George IV Mahogany Dining Chairs

Description

Circa 1820. A quality set of 8 mahogany George IV dining chairs, consisting of 6 side chairs and 2 armchairs, the curved cresting rail surmounted with a well carved section with further carving to the ends. The back with a flame mahogany panel with carved anthemia on each end, the shaped and scrolling arms supported by the seat rail, with a drop in upholstered seat. Back legs are slightly out swept, front legs are turned and ring turned, finishing on an elegant toe.
