Incredible 19th century French gilt mirror in superb condition.

It dates from around 1880.

It has a huge amount of ornate detail to its real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame including its enormous crest, sides and scrolls.

It has its original mercury glass with no scratches just lovely light foxing. Mercury glass is rare and gives a sparkle and reflection like no other!.

It has its original backboards.

It is so unusual to find a mirror of this size and with such ornate gilt detail in this condition.

There is one tiny ball missing on the left side of the frame and this will be restored before sale. There are no other chips.
