A Set of Four Scottish Cockpen Dining Chairs

1900 - 1920
Description

A scarce set of Four Scottish Mahogany Cockpen dining chairs by Muirhead Moffat & Co, Glasgow. C.1900

With signature curved saddle shaped seats and rounded out swept back legs, square beaded and chamfered forelegs united by circular conforming stretchers.

Stamped 'Muirhead Moffat & Company, Glasgow' to the underside, with makers initials 'S.B.'

Pictured with the original George III armchair, available as a set of Five upon request.

Recently reupholstered in white calico, structurally very good.
