A 19th Century Rossetti Armchair, designed by Dante Gabriel Rossetti close friend of William Morris. The chair was made by Morris & Co., London, and marketed as the Rossetti Arm-Chair. C.1870
This original Arts and Crafts armchair is constructed in stained beech with a woven rushed seat, which has just been re done by an expert heritage craftworker.
This chair was included in the illustrated catalogue released by the firm showcasing their products in around C.1912. Structurally solid, top finials not present.
