The Chair having lost no hight over the years is standing tall on cabriole legs. Circa 1740

Chairs of very similar design bearing the label of Giles Grendey can be seen in the book, Dictionary Of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, Leeds 1996, p.242, fig.435.
