This elegant pair of Swedish Gustavian Style early 20th Century Armchairs are in good condition and would really make a statement in any room. The chairs are well made and have detailed shell carving and acanthus leaf scrolls to the backs and to the frieze with further carving to the cabriole legs. The stretcher bearers connecting the legs are also very well turned. The original paint is scraped and time worn revealing the light tones of the wood beneath. The drop in seats are presented in their original calico and ready for re-upholstery, which can be undertaken in house at additional cost and with client’s own fabric.
