Chippendale Style Mirror

1920 - 1940
Description

Circa 1930s. A stylish carved and giltwood overmantel mirror in Chinese Chippendale style. The carved and giltwood frame with 12 mirrors formed around the large central mirror with two elongated mirrors to the sides and other smaller mirrors, with bold foliate carving to the sides, each with a mythical Hoho bird resting on a rocky base, foliate C and S scrolls and towards the base, and finishing with oval section with foliate carving on the sides.
