A Charming Country-made Beech Chair, C.1900

1900 - 1920
Description

A chair of real character...with a jaunty lean to the back! The chair is sound, but the proportions would ideally suit a hall or bedroom.

I like the square-section frame which is less typical in a chair of this type, and the chamfering at the top is a nice touch.

There are a handfull of historic worm holes, a few isolated spots of white paint to the frame and seat, and some loose strands of rush to the underside.
