Pair Of George IV Hall Chairs'

A fabulous pair of George IV figured Mahogany hall chairs, with wonderful colour and form, very much after a design by Thomas King, London. C.1829.
 
The elaborately shaped back rests centred with a snarling wolf family crest, flanked either side by elegant scrolls and surmounted by turned roundels (see plate 30, figure 5 of Fairbairn''s book of family crests for reference).
 
The broad solid seats supported by tapering ring turned forelegs with roundel capitals and out swept rear supports.
 
This fine pair are offered in lovely original condition, structurally superb.
