Georgian Set of 6 Mahogany Bar Back Upholstered Dining Chairs (George Iii)

A George III period, set of six, upholstered, mahogany, dining chairs, Circa 1800. These chairs constructed in solid mahogany, feature a panelled bar back top rail and lower slat. Drop in seats covered in moss green coloured velvet. Raised on square tapered front legs, splayed rear legs, supported by H-stretcher.

A good original set of period chairs, in good condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

These chairs measure approximately 88 cm (34.75") tall, 51 cm (20") wide, and 48 cm (19") deep. The seat height is approximately 45 cm (17.75").

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in good condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy. The frames are quite original, with only very minor sympathic repairs. The upholstery is structurally good. The velvet is pleasantly and evenly faded, and still very serviceable. A few minor old worm holes, namely to the secondary timbers in couple of the rear seat rails. Which are barely visible, and do not affect the sturdiness of the chairs in any way. Nevertheless all the chairs have been fully treated by way of precaution. No loose joints or damage. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
