Description

Unusual little giltwood mirror c.1930. 13½" x 18" mirror plate in carved giltwood frame. Topped with a tall pierced frieze featuring a hart (or deer's) head, bow and arrow quiver against a shield cartouche flanked with scrolling acanthus leaves. Moulded inner edge to the frame and further carved detail to the bottom corners. Green painted back edge and feet. Very good condition, original gilding with only minor wear and retouching.
