French 19th Century Oval Gilt Mirror

Description

Fabulous quality late 19th century French oval gilt mirror with original deep bevelled mirror plate and retains the majority of the original gold leaf and backing boards.

This mirror will hang as an overmantle but also as a console mirror as the example over an 18th century commode.

The original bevelled mirror plate is in good condition and has a classic mercury glow.

Not overly heavy, so it will hang easily.

Measuring:

39 1/2 inches or 100 cm high

23 3/4 inches or 60.5 cm wide

25 1/4 inches or 64 cm glass aperture height

18 inches or 46 cm glass aperture width
