A Late 19th Century Hepplewhite Style Elbow Chair

A fine late 19th century mahogany elbow chair, in the style of George Hepplewhite, with an open circular back with a moulded and beaded line, with a finely pierced splat within twin uprights with ribbons and foliate motifs and a neoclassical urn inside a pierced circle, and with outswept arms with carved leaves to the elbows and roundels to the ends, lightly carved supports to a generous seat with carved twisted ribbon to the seatrail, on reeded tapering sabre supports and rounded sabre supports to the rear, upholstered in an off-white chenille fabric. English circa 1880.
 
Condition: Excellent, the chair is in very good condition with no damage or breaks, and it is robust and comfortable to sit in, the carving is crisp and sharp, and overall the chair has a lovely rich colour and patina.
