Best Yew High Back Windsor

A corking example of a High splat back Windsor armchair, in all Yew wood with Elm seat attributed to S.E. Collison, Hull. C.1840.
 
Ornately turned legs with ball feet, legs connected by crinoline stretcher. Four tapered spindles each side of decoratively fretted central splats, three tapered underarm spindles, regionally specific under arm turnings of the North East and North East Midlands, arm notched beneath ends of arm hoop.
