Pair of French Louis Xvi Style Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Very fine pair of French Louis XVI style armchairs, scrolled arms, over bow fronted seat, standing on fluted legs. Retaining mostly original painted and with yellow silk upholstery. Chairs will require upholstering they are of Generous proportions, these beautiful armchairs are constructed with strong beechwood and are sturdy enough to be used daily. The oval back and fine trim of beaded elements on front of the seat back are referred to "Fauteuils A La Reine" or Armchairs of the Queen. Measures:

Width 60 cms

depth 60 cms

92 cms height

Arm to arm 21" wide

Seat back to front 18 1/2"

Condition

Frames very good, top silk upholstery holed to the front as shown
