Elegant splayed arms, incorporating elegant scroll carved ends, unite the back and seat frame, which are raised on shaped supports. The Chippendale style armchair drop-in seat has been newly upholstered to a professional standard in a pale duck egg blue structured cotton upholstery, finished with traditional webbing and hessian to the underside. The seat is firm but extremely comfortable to sit on. The Chippendale arm chair stands on cabriole legs at the front, terminating on well carved ball and claw feet, with sabre legs to the rear.

The Chippendale style armchair boasts a stunning rich brown mahogany colour, having been cleaned and French polished in our workshop, along with years of care and cleaning it has received.

This is a fine quality antique English Chippendale style armchair, constructed of solid mahogany, with generous proportions, including a newly upholstered seat, circa 1870, in excellent original condition. The Chippendale style armchair drop-in seat has been newly upholstered to a professional standard in a pale duck egg blue structured cotton upholstery, finished with traditional webbing and hessian to the underside. The seat is firm, but comfortable and extremely comfortable to sit on. Therefore, the seat structure is in excellent clean condition. The chair frame has been traditionally French polished and boasts a lovely colour and patination. The Chippendale style armchair sits firm on the ground and does not wobble. It is well built and heavy; which is a sign of quality. This chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
