Stunning Louis XVI gilt leaner mirror in superb condition.

It has its gorgeous ornate real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame and incredible, large floral Louis XVI crest, dating from around 1870. There are no chips or prices missing.

I don't believe the glass to this mirror is original to the mirror but it is lovely heavy glass that looks to have been replaced some years ago. There are no scratches.

It would have been used an overmantel mirror above a fireplace in a grand house but would look equally good as a freestanding leaner mirror in a lounge, hall or bedroom!
