A glorious French Empire tubchair, painted in a warm olive and grey livery with aged gilt detail, gracefully carved swans with exposed feet above acanthus carved knees. Finely carved pateras and flower bells to the crest, apron and arms. Raised on out-swept sabre legs.
Upholstered in an exceptional subtle gold fabric with red and green velvet decoration, with plush feather filled cushion. C.1815
