An unusual pair of French winged, reclining armchairs, one being 18th Century walnut and the other we feel was made to match in the 19th Century. They have travelled together and were both upholstered in the same 1920s worn fabric when we got them. They have been reupholstered by us in an antique fabric. The chairs have high backs enclosed by large wings that recline on their original wrought iron adjustable ratchets to each arm. Having turned arm supports and traditional turned H-stretchers.
Very good sized stylish chairs that must be seen to be appreciated.
