Description

Handsome mid 18th.c. Welsh oak panel back armchair c.1750. Tall backrest with a well shaped top rail and a raised and fielded back panel between rear stiles with a shaped detail at the top. Slim arms, gently sloping and shaped on good turned and block front stiles. Board seat with an attractively covered cushion supplied. Turned front stretcher plus straight stretchers to the sides and rear. Note the traditional pegged joints throughout. Repairs at the bottom of both rear stiles, otherwise very good original condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
