Chair Side Dining Hall Wonderful Charles II Oak C1680

Here we have a wonderful Charles II Oak chair c1680. As you can see the chair has fantastic colour and patina. There is a high back with broken swan neck pediment to the top. This is flanked by two carved turrets and incised and carved decoration. There is a fielded panel to the back and space either side to the side supports. The solid Oak seat has a thumb moulded edge and sits above a well turned and block undertier. The chair is of course of pegged mortice and tenon construction throughout. The underside is dry and crusty as it should be and the pegs left uncut as they should be, A great period example in wonderful retail condition ready for your hopme or collection. The dimensions are approx 110 cm high 40 cm wide 40 cm deep.
