A Set Of Six George II Walnut Dining Chairs C.1760

Possibly Scottish, sourced from Royal Deeside.
 
Lovely chesnut-brown colour, and thoughtful timber choice for the splats.
 
One chair with horizontal split around cresting rail. This is historic and not structurally significant, (see fifth image)
 
One chair has been re-varnished
 
Front stretchers removed from all the chairs in favour of H-stretches, although these have significant age.
 
Original horsehair pads and frames ready for re-upholstery.
 
Additional dimensions: Height to the top of the seat pad 45cm.
