Late Regency Mahogany Childs Chair

19th century
Description

High quality late Regency Cuban mahogany childs chair. Sabre front legs with lovely scroll arms and curved back. I am not sure where they got the mahogany from at this time but it is definitely Cuban and as such the chair is remarkably heavy. The original drop in seat in nicely upholstered in red leather. It looks like it has had some sort of a bar across the arms at some time but the holes don't go right through. The chair has a nice sheen with waxed finish.

SIZE; 14" wide by 12" deep by 22" high. Seat height is 11"

CIRCA; 1820 - 1830
