A Very Good Yew wood high Back Windsor chair from the Workshop of Isaac Allsop a famous chair maker from the town of worksop in North Nottinghamshire close to Clumber Park where it is reputed that the Yew Trees were used in the making of all these chairs Worksop Chairs, This one has a very well marked Burr Yew back splat, this model was also considered to be Allsops best model of chair this was noted in his advertising paperwork of the time. The condition is excellent with a pleasing colour and patina
