The chair backs are supported by solid oak block frame which unites the generous stuff-over upholstered seats. The two armchairs boast lovely sweeping scroll arms, secured by turned vertical arm supports. The chairs legs are designed in Jacobean style, with turned and block shapes, united by baluster turned stretchers, for additional strength. The chair frames are constructed in the traditional method with pegged joints, which is a sign of quality.

This is a top-quality antique English set of 10 upholstered oak dining chairs, in the style of the 17th century Jacobean period, constructed during the George V period, circa 1930, extremely comfortable, in excellent condition. The 10 upholstered oak dining chairs have been upholstered to the calico stage; which allows you to personalise these chairs in your own fabric. The price includes the labour cost of us upholstering the chairs in your fabric (not the fabric material cost). We can assist with choosing a suitable fabric if you need help, and also with the process of arranging delivery of the fabric to our shop for upholstering. The chair frames have been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frames and legs, but nothing significant considering the age of the chairs. These upholstered dining chairs are extremely comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. The chairs are solid in joint and ready to be used.
