Fine Gilt Early French Style Wall Mirror

A superb quality gilt wall mirror. The mirror is very French in design and has a pleasing early style profile. The mirror is mounted with the most wonderful moulding of cherubs and scrollwork with a central vase full of flowers. The gilding is original throughout and features both matt and polished finishes with a central band around the frame that is sanded. The mirror plate is the original and has a bevelled edge, it does show some slight foxing appropriate to age. The whole is in the most wonderful untouched condition with the odd minor repair and has a great period look. C.1870.
