A Set Of Four George III Period Honeysuckle Dining Chairs

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: William Carr Antiques

A beautiful and very original set of four English mahogany George III period dining chairs, totally untouched surface with fantastic patination.

The set retains their charming metal bracket restorations to joints and shoulders, despite the sympathetic repairs the set still has a great country house look and feel, with alluring honeysuckle design to back splats, above horsehair upholstered saddle seats, on chamfered legs C. 1770.

Provenance: Knavesmire Lodge, York. The Estate of the late Mr Darrel Buttery MBE.
