Chinoiserie Painted Open Armchair

1900 - 1920
Description

A highly enchanting Regency revival open bergère armchair, painted generously with fine chinoiserie decoration. The original caning is in superb condition with lovely patination, caned back with central cartouche of Oriental scene. Turned front legs and rear sabres with original fitted squab cushion. In the manner of Druce and Co., Ltd. of Baker Street, London. C. 1900.
