Late C17th High Back Country Oak Chair (Carolean / Jacobean)

Description

A late C17th, oak high back chair. This solid oak country chair features a yoke top rail, solid variform splat back. Solid plank seat. Raised on turned and block legs all supported by stretchers.

A charming chair, full of character, with very good colour, polish and patina. Ready for use.

Dimensions:

This chair measures approximately 100 cm (39.5") tall, 44.5 cm (17.5") wide, and 43 cm (17") deep. The seat height measures approximately 40 cm (16").

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound. There are some odd marks and blemishes. Small good quality repair to the top of one stile on top rail. Some minor historic worm holes. Treated, with no structural damage. Very good colour, polish and patina. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
