A Pair of Regency Hall Chairs

19th century
Description

A lovely pair of Regency (circa 1820) hall chairs. Black laquered finish which is worn back nicely with gilded feet to the legs. Original stud decoration to the backs and sides and carved rope top rails. Original canework seats which are completely intact together with shaped reupholstered slip in seats. These could equally be used as bedroom chairs but were made to be admired and on show.

48cm wide and overall about 48 cm deep the height of the back from the floor being 80cm

Seat pads are 38 wide and 40 deep.
