Chippendale Revival Set of 6 Mahogany & Leather Upholstered Dining Chairs

A late Victorian period, set of six leather upholstered, mahogany framed, dining chairs, Circa 1890. The set consists of 5 chairs and one carver armchair. These chairs in Chippendale taste, constructed from solid good quality, heavy, well figured mahogany, feature a carved back of four pierced, carved and scrolled ladder slats. Drop in seats covered in burgundy leather hide, with scooped front rails. The seat frame and front legs with moulded edges. Legs supported by a H-stretcher.

A high quality set of handsome chairs. Some marks and signs of use, but with a good colour, polish and patina and in good overall condition. Ready for use.

Dimensions:

These chairs measure approximately 96 cm (38") tall, 53 cm (21") wide, and 52 cm (20.5") deep. The seat height is approximately 46 cm (18"). The carver measures approximately 99 cm (39") tall, 60.5 cm (24") wide, and 57 cm (22.5") deep. The seat height is approximately 46 cm (18").

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy. There are some minor marks, blemishes and wear on the frames. No loose joints or signs of repair. The leather on a couple of chairs has some marks, and structurally all the upholstery is good. The frames have very good colour, polish and patina throughout. Very sturdy and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
