Antique Welsh Child’s Lambing Chair

18th century
Description

This wonderful oak child’s lambing chair is Welsh in origin. It dates to the late 18thC. It is of primitive pegged construction. A drawer to on side as can be seen in the photographs. It is in the form of a rocking chair with a three plank seat, shaped flat back splat and shaped top rail in which is inscribed the letter N. It is in very good condition and a lovely colour. A great chair for the chair collector or indeed the Welsh antiques collector.
