W.R. Harvey & Co. (Antiques) Ltd has dated this piece to the Regency era.
A very good Pair of George IV period solid Rosewood Side Chairs stamped Gillows Lancaster on the top edges of the front seat rails, the dished top rail above a central bar with moulded detail, the drop in seats raised on turned front legs.
The seat rails are Oak with 6 mm Rosewood facings, the legs and backs are all solid Rosewood.
