A very smart set of six Regency dining chairs attributed to John Gee, on turned front legs with sabre rear. Splendid gilt decorations throughout the frames, with caned seats.

The preeminent workshops of John Gee were listed as 'Chairmaker & Turner' at 49 Wardour street, London. 1799. Then in 1803-1823 as 'Chairmaker & Turner' to His Majesty The King, George III.

Offered in overall lovely condition, stamps to the underneath of three chairs, later repairs to caned seats, to be expected. However ready for use and structurally excellent.
