Victorian Brassbound writing slope dating back to c.1880, in a superb piece of walnut featuring brass bindings to the corners and brass top and key escutcheon, complete with a working lock and key.
Open the box to reveal the beautiful writing surface with space for paperwork behind the back of the inside lid and underneath the writing surface where you will also find secret drawers. The slope also features two brass topped inkwells in good condition, a nib slope and pen slope with space underneath. Offered in excellent antique condition, no odours or smells, no signs of past or present woodworm, excellent patina.
