19th Century Regency Mahogany Bergere Chair

Description

Attractive Regency caned Bergere chair with original horse hair squab. The mahogany used has a rich colour and patina, the back is shaped and flows elegantly. The curved scrolled top rail has a flower decoration and reeded mouldings running down the side rails, onto and along the front rails to an anthemion decoration in the centre. Raised on turned lotus leaf decoration front legs and sabre legs to the rear.

This fantastic library chair is in wonderful condition throughout.

The seat height with the squad is 47 cm see images.
