The desk chair rotates 360 degrees; it is height adjustable and features a reclining mechanism. The captain’s chair mechanism is in good working order, having been cleaned and serviced. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on.

Condition Report:
The Edwardian desk chair is upholstered in a brown leather, finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter – there are old age surface cracks to the leather on the seat, which adds to the character of the chair. The chair mechanism is in good working order, having been cleaned and serviced. The captain’s chair rotates 360 degrees; it is height adjustable and features a reclining mechanism. There is some play to the revolving mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of this piece of furniture. There are no breaks to the cast iron revolving mechanism. The chair frame features a rich brown walnut colour, having been cleaned and French polished in our workshop. The captain’s chair sits on four splayed solid mahogany legs that terminate on top quality replacement English made solid brass castors, which are in excellent condition. This desk chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
