Fine quality late C19th Italian carved gilt-wood Venetian-style mirror.

Carved and pierced open-work gilt-wood rectangular mirror frame in immaculate original condition with typical carved leaf and flowerhead detail in the traditional Venetian style . Fitted with a clear mirror plate with bevelled edge.

Fitted original back-boards to verso . Bears an inscription “ 2 plate 17/11/1906 “ which accurately dates the carved frame to the late nineteenth / early twentieth century , having had a replacement mirror plate at that time .

Superb quality gilding and carving with no losses , breaks or damage.
