Antique English Georgian Rosewood Bar Back Single Dining / Side / Office Desk Chair (Circa 1830)

This is a top-quality antique English set single dining chair, from the George IV period, constructed of solid rosewood, circa 1830, which has been newly upholstered and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in excellent condition. This strong and heavy chair is designed with an attractive curved bar back, above a moulded, curved bar back splat, decorated with tulip shaped carvings at either end, secured to shaped, moulded vertical supports. The seat frame is raised on ring turned front legs, with circular bull eye moulded decoration, with sabre legs to the rear. This single dining chair boasts the original polish; therefore, they have a fantastic depth of colour and patination, displaying a lovely rich red and brown colour. The seat has been newly upholstered to a professional standard in oatmeal with touch of tan linen mix upholstery. The upholstery is therefore clean and free from wear and marks.
