A good set of eleven George III Sheraon period mahogany dining chairs of a good colour and patina: the backs inset with 3 well carved spindles, square tapered legs joined by H-stretchers.

Covered in 2 similar fabrics.

Gillow Furniture designs by Linsay Boynton illustrates a similar chair back, fig. 279 'Spanish-back' chair, 1789.

Thomas Sheraton, 'The Cabinet Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book, 1793 Edition also illustrates chairs with similar backs.
