Described as the ''Roman'' Chair by the Chair Making firm of Isaac Alsop of Worksop, this model of Ash and Elm chair was the best model as shown in their catalogue of circa 1850, this model certainly is the best Kitchen Chair found in the North of England. This harlequin set comprises two identical chairs and two that are very similar the condition is excellent they have no loose joints and are very well made chairs.
