Description
Fine original condition early 19th century Tortoise shell and silver inlaid tea caddy. This is a nice shape tea caddy in blonde tortoise shell in basically un-touched original condition. The tea caddy has a segmented top with thin silver or pewter line inlay with a silver plaque in the middle. The caddy has its original brass ball feet. The inside has both original lids with small turned bone handles. The caddy retains its original brass lock. The condition is very good with repairs or damage to the tortoise shell apart from a very minor crack at the back where one of the hinges is.
