Each with arched back and scroll terminals. Both chairs structurally sound and ready to be re-covered. One chair with some areas of later surface varnish, a few minor and isolated historic worm holes, lacking front castors.

James Mein was a highlighly regarded cabinet and chair maker working in the Regency period who counted the Duke of Roxburghe at Floors Castle among his patrons.
